Born and raised in Falmouth, Trelawny, Mr. Kirkwood Parkinson, graduated from the Herbert Morrison Technical High School in St. James, with a diploma in Engineering. After working at Forgo Electronics for three years, he accepted the Seventh-day Adventist faith and was baptized in 2000.

 Mr. Kirkwood Parkinson has served his church in various capacities: A.Y. leader, deacon, Assistant Treasurer, Sabbath school teacher, Assistant Personal Ministry director, Executive V.P. of the Trelawny Youth Federation, and also as President of the Youth Fellowship club in Falmouth. After serving in the church for a number of years, he applied to the Northern Caribbean University in 2005 and was accepted in the Pre-college Department. After a year, he matriculated in the school of Religion and Theology and has earned the right of being on the honour roll for two consecutive years.

 Mr. Kirkwood Parkinson was not satisfied with just being a regular student, so he joined the North Jamaica Club where he served as Chaplain, Vice President of Religious Affairs, and President. In addition, he was the President of the United Student Movement (U.S.M.) of Northern Caribbean University2009-2010. He is also an Ordained Elder, an Invested Master Guide, and Senior Youth.

 After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Art degree in Pastoral Ministry in 2010, he was employed by the North Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventist and was placed in the Ocho Rios Circuit of Churches under the supervision of Pastor Nathanael Gracia for several months and was moved to the Spring Garden’s Circuit of churches under the supervision of Pastor Devon Heath, where he has been doing pastoral work and has been involved in several evangelistic campaigns.

 Currently, Mr. Parkinson serves as pastor of the Bamboo district of Seventh-day Adventist churches.

  However, above and beyond all of this, he is a servant of God. 

 His philosophy is, “the secret of being a saint is being a saint in secret.
